Sonterra Select has strong Fall

Last weekend the Sonterra select 4.0 40+ team fought through a tough sectional draw to win the sectional championships. I don't have a lot of info but I know clutch play from Bingham, Arellano and Rojas really helped the team win it all. The Select tri-level team will also represent San Antonio at sections in Feb ( I think). Congratulation to these teams and good luck in the spring. Next year it looks like nationals will be on the line.

  1. Anyone have any comments on the ratings? See any interesting bump-ups or bump-downs?

    1. I am not a mathematician, but I do pretend to be one on occasion. If you are referring to the 2012 ADULT SPRING ACTT MEN 4.0 Borg team that went to sectionals, based on end of year ratings, only 8 of the 20 on that team are at 4.5 (my math skills say that is only 40% not 75%). However, if you are referring to the 2012 SATA 40 & OVER LEAGUE, only 7 out of those 15 on that team are at 4.5 based on end of year ratings (once again, my simplistic math skills say that only comes to 46.6% not 75%). I don't understand where you are getting 75% from.

  3. Enjoy your first year, bump-ups. With 19 of you moving in and only 5 guys going up to 5.0, your matches could be really ugly this year.

  4. Any notable bump downs from 5.0 to 4.5 or 4.5 to 4.0? I didn't notice any.

  5. Most notable bump-downs from 5.0 are Cardo Walthall, John Arringdale and Larry Brumfield. Gonna be a tough year in 4.5...

  6. Sorry, there are NO nationals at that level...
Do your homework before you publish...

    1. Your right I just looked it up and 40+ nationals will be held starting in 2013. Many times I post using emails or suggestions from players. In this instance, the person suggesting that I write this topic thought the team was going to nationals. Wish I could do more homework but on some topics I rely on people like you. Thanks for pointing out the error. I will correct the post.
